Tuck Andres - Up and at it ( Siamois '92)
This video is a worth to share unless the quality is not very good. Look at this Stunning solo guitar performance of Wes Montgomery's "Up and at it" by Tuck Andress at the annual Django Reinhardt Jazz festival at Samois-sur-Seine in 1992. I really Like the "Soul" he brings into it, a concrete proof that it is definitely not only about technique.

The Strokes - Heart in a Cage / (Later...with Jools Holland) 2006
Great Live show on the popular English TV Show named "Later...with Jools Holland". Aired on the BBC from 1992, "Later..." draws from a diverse palette of both popular and world music, and each show features around five bands with a variety of styles performing for each other and a small studio audience. Jools Holland introduces the show and interviews one or more of the performers
You will find plenty of famous artists playing great lives if you google the name of the show and look for videos. This Strokes performance was made after the release of their third album "First Impression of Hearth" which was released in 2005. We feel the song is pretty great as they play different tune from the previous album too.
It is clear.... the Stokes are mytical and their debut album "Is this It" was the most acclamed. It was ranked number 199 on Rolling Stone 's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, number 4 on NME's 500 greatest albums of all time, number 8 on Rolling Stone's 100 Best Debut Albums of All Time and number 2 on Rolling Stone's 100 Best Albums of the 2000s.
This is one of my favourite album ever...I was 17 or something when it was released...
Here are some other great small lives parts when they came to play at MTV...
The Strokes - Barely Legal - Is This It MTV (2002)
The Strokes - Modern Age - Is This It MTV (2002)"
Here is another show we found great but we don´t know where it was recorded... :)
One of the comments of the video says Julian Looks Stoned because he had flu and that it was in Brazil, we don't care if it is true or not the images and the sounds are good enough!

The Shins - Port of Morrow/ From the Basement
Another very great session from the Basement, an amazing performance from the band the shins. For those who don't know them it was created in 1996 in Alburquerque, New Mexico. The song Port of Morrow comes from their last album of the same name (2012). I specially like the sensitivity of all the instruments playing together along with this bright and powerfull lead voice by James Mercer. If you like their sounds you can also check those bands Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah, Tapes 'n Tapes, Band of Horses, Fruit Bats, Rogue Wave
